X7770? To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Copy to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} [Struck through] Copy to W&R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Struck through] Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} [Struck through] CONFIDENTIAL. Phantom "SS{S. Smith}". BJ10/E6.3.28 We agree to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG5.3.28 and will arrange about the bodies. It seems probable that Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} will arrange the details as we wish to avoid the possibility of any one seeing the coachbuilders and giving them any information of a confidential nature, as it is so extremely important that they have not the least hint or suggestion in connection with the "SS{S. Smith}". I am glad that the "H" engine is receiving precedence as we must of course do everything possible to fill our aero shop. Our orders for chassis are coming in quite regularly and satisfactorily, but our orders for aero engines are sadly behind. BJ. | ||
