Dear Sirs,

Power Consumption Tests.

Thank you for your letter of May 11th. We have now done considerable testing on power loss in tyres. At the moment we have decided that it would be best not to divulge these figures for the following reasons.

Supposing for instance, we give you figures to show how much worse your tyres are than one of your competitors, it would seem reasonable to give that competitor figures showing that his were better. We therefore think you will agree with us that it would be best if, for the time being, we keep all the information to ourselves.
