To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. BJ2/H13.11.24. X9770 FRONT WHEEL BRAKES. With reference to CWB's car, 48-PK, this car is not available on the days you require. We do not know exactly when it will return to London, and we cannot communicate with CWB. We do not look on that car as a standard 40/50 h.p. We are using the car continuously to test it for front wheel brakes without adjustments. We therefore particularly do not want it to be adjusted by a representative from the Works or at W.W., and we want to find out how it will run in the hands of an ordinary user. The benefit of the long mileage it has already done would be useless if we now made adjustments. As you require a standard 40/50 h.p. front wheel brake car to show to Mr. Royce, we can arrange for our demonstration landaulet, 10-AU, to be driven to W.W. to-day or to-morrow. We therefore telephoned you this morning accordingly, and now await your reply as to when you want the car to be at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. B.J. | ||
