The piston which has failed on the Bensport car was only run just over 1,000 miles. We are waiting to receive some more particulars from Chateauroux but at the moment we think it is possible that the piston hit the cylinder head. The car which is running in France has a very small clearance between the piston and the head (this has been increased). We have done so much running on the test bed without any failure that we think there must be some explanation for this piston going so quickly. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
