In regard to the control on our cars, a feature which would be much appreciated by drivers in this country would be some form of foot rest for the foot operating accelerator pedal, because on very bad roads, such as are as a rule rather than the exception in this country, the inertia of the foot is sufficient to cause involuntary opening and closing of the engine throttle and due to the constant vertical movements of the car. I have extemporized something of this nature on my own car and can speak with certainty of the great comfort resulting, particularly over long drives. | ||
