METAL BRAIDED IGNITION CABLES. Gentlemen, Adverting to your letter of August 31, I am directed to state that the delay in dealing with this matter is regretted and to inform you that phosphor bronze braided cable similar to Sample 3 referred to in the Department's letter of August 15, is manufactured by the British Insulated Cables, Limited. 2. It is understood that you are already experimenting with this, or a similar type of cable, as per your letter of August 11 on the same subject. 3. Experiments are proceeding at the Royal Aircraft Establishment using this type of cable for a complete engine installation of the H.T. ignition equipment. No results are yet to hand, but as soon as they are available they will form the subject of a further communication to be addressed to you in due course.
