noise trouble being cured in this case also.
We have had practically no suggestion of armature noise from the experimental N.B. machines. At present it does not appear that it will be necessary to standardise 28 slot armatures for use in this type of machine. It will be recalled that the principal improve-ment in the N.B. machine as compared with the old standard is that of much less heating for the same output. We have in this machine a similar if not still better margin than in the case of the 20 H.P. machine, between the maximum permissible output curve and the representative curve.
