L.H. P.II. 2nd. Experimental Car.

1. Re. By6/N.7.5.40.
Item 7. There has apparently been some delay on the other side in deciding as to the adaptation of the mudguard stays to our standard type of mudguard.
Am expecting a drawing daily and will discuss with you when it arrives.
On 2nd Expl. the stays will of course be adapted to the English mudguards.

2. Item 9. Have you instructed to polish the G.B. tower where it projects above the floor?

3. Item 18. You now have my notes on head, side and rear lamps.

4. Item 20. You now have my notes on Instrument Board following visit to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town on May 13.
Would suggest following additional points :-

5. Step Irons for short running board. Dwg. 16891 handed you May 14. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} are in favor of trying this on 2nd Expl. if possible on general principles of making it as much like the 200 order as possible.

6. Unlubricated Water Pump spindle. Can we try this?

7. Insulated accelerator pedal. Do you not think something should be tried on this?

8. Filling axle. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} yesterday said he was going to try to send you something on this, this week.

9. Steering lock. Would it be possible to "steal" a little more on the L.H. lock with our 19" wheels and tires?
Why I emphasize this is that with a r.h. road rule the car must make a l.h. turn in the street. A 25 ft. radius as shown in our A14892 has been found about the maximum.
Even at the cost of rubbing the side steering tube we should like to get as close to this as possible. With a
