R.R. 493A (40 H) (SL 12 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. 4634 Expl. No. 9550 634 REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG10.3.24. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. RG.{Mr Rowledge} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} S E C R E T. OVERRUN VIBRATION ON E.A.C. We find that the Hawk connecting rods are 11.5" long and the bearing is the same diameter as the E.A.C. We are therefore arranging to fit a set of hawk rods on to the EAC. engine without delay. With the 11½" rod we shall have approximately the same connecting rod crank ratio as the 40/50 H.P. and the Hispano (4.28). Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
