To DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1087 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG3.12.26. PHANTOM - WINDSCREEN. X8774 We have been making various enquiries about a rear windscreen suitable for 10-EX car. Our investigations seem to shew that a satisfactory rear windscreen will only be obtained if it is built in the body. We do not know whether Barkers will undertake this work. The idea of course will be to make the windscreen folding or disappearing so that a tonneau cover can be fitted when it is not in use. We hope you will be able to arrange for a cover for the rear seats as we believe that these normally are the cause of eddies, and also are so seldom used that it is almost essential to have something to keep dirt and dust off the cushions.
