VARIABLE FREQUENCY INDUCTION MOTOR TRANSFORMER
THREE PHASE STATOR TO SINGLE PHASE ROTOR.

Readings taken with rotor at rest.

Rotor. Stator.
Amperes. Volts. Watts. Average Amperes.

o 28.0 o 1.34 x 4 5.36
11.0 26.5 291.5 1.36 x 4 5.44
22.0 25.2 554.5 1.48 x 4 5.92
29.5 24.2 714.0 1.54 x 4 6.16
38.0 23.2 882.0 1.70 x 4 6.80
50.0 21.9 1,095 1.93 x 4 7.72
57.0 21.2 1,207 2.05 x 4 8.20

Stator resistance between any pair of terminals = .69 ohm.
Rotor resistance = .30 ohm between terminals but windings only .025 ohm.

Observations made after warming machine by loading rotor for 1 1/4 hrs. at 30 amperes.

Rotor was finally loaded up to 60 amperes approx. for 15 mins. Slip rings were found to get very hot, and connections from coils to slip rings fairly hot.
