1166 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 18th October, 1937. C.W. Nichols, Esq., Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd., Cricklewood Works, N.W.2. Dear Nichols, Grylls has handed me your letter of September 14th, and at the same time he told me that he had spoken to you at the Show regarding the Phantom III jacks. In the last paragraph of your letter you state "Had you favoured us with your bulk jack business we could have offset the amount against same." Sessions are now part of the Smith Co., so there is no doubt that we have favoured you with the bulk of our jack business. As a matter of fact, we are contemplating extending the range of our hydraulic jacks to the 25/30, and it is almost certain that you will receive a big bulk order before the end of next year. I really feel that under the circumstances you might now let the matter drop. Yours sincerely, | ||
