4. BODY MOUNTINGS.

This experiment will go forward.

5. CARBURETTOR G.M.V.Ch.

The one that has been run on 9.S.V. seems O.K. for durability. The next experiment will be an endurance run on the test bed.

6. AXLE.

30.G.VII has been fitted up with the simplified axle.

7. PROPELLOR SHAFT.

There are several cars with propellor shaft periods. A test should be carried out to see if periods can be eliminated by means of jubilee clips, and a report given at the next meeting. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} reported that the balancing rig was nearly finished.

8. 12.D.V. GEARBOX BEARINGS.

He. said he thought this gearbox had now reached a stage where it should be stripped, or we might be in danger of scrapping it. It will be examined within the next few days.

9. UNDERSEAT HEATER.

When J.S.30 returns, a test will be carried out to see how effective this heater is.

10. ENGINE MOUNTING.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} reported that the reason the column shook on the Ripplet 4-cylinder, under idling conditions, was because it was not properly attached to the scuttle. The trouble was demonstrated to Mr. Green, who is going to ensure that it does not occur on production cars.

11. PISTON OIL-WAYS.

The oil holes have been opened up to avoid piston seizures and the oil consumption figures of some of the cars are not satisfactory.
