Bentley Shock Damper Control. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E.26.11.34. The existing Bentley shock absorber load is 80 lbs. With a governor controlled damper the minimum load is set to 60 lbs. The 20 HP. setting is of course lower than this. 60 lbs. was decided upon after consideration of the possibilities of tramp. The governor control, even with the hand control in the minimum position, ensures that at tramping speed, the load will have risen from 60 lbs. minimum to well above the 80 lbs. which is the present standard. The maximum shock absorber poundage available with a combination of over-ride and hand control is 250 lbs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
