X.4079 - GOSHAWK IGNITION COIL.

We attach copy of El/M6.1.23 in answer to our enquiry re the instructioning of coils to LeC.1653. On account of this and the fact that we have had good results during the weekend from the coil with larger core which you handed to us on Saturday, it is desired that you proceed with a further pair of coils to this specification. It will then in all probability be agreed to standardise a coil with longer core, either with no larger core, or with larger core, according to the results of comparative experiments, the standardisation of the coil to refer to the wheelcase position, in which case we shall again be able to utilise our moulding plant in the production of the cases, etc. for these units.
