BENTLEY.

B-56-BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} While the damage done to this car due to going off the road and bending the axle was being put right, the engine was examined and stated to be in excellent condition. 50 miles after re-erection, however, one of the big end bearings disintegrated. It is thought that this was due to over-tightening and this matter is being investigated.

The staggering clutch has been traced to oil getting on the face, which has always proved disastrous. Modifications are being carried out to prevent this recurring.
