11.6.24. | "Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}". Local. | 72 | 7,808 | Brakes very effective. Wheels skid very easily on wet roads. Gears groan badly when braking. Engine detonations very noticeable. Power good. Throttle does not close from hand quadrant. Engine fires after switching off when hot. Fumes in body when car stopped. Clutch jaggers & does not stop quickly enough for changing speed. vibrations of control levers on steering wheel. Uneven slow speed running due to misfires. Carburation not automatic. Engine appeared rather noisy, especially when car was standing. Consider steering far too stiff. Extremely difficult when shunting. Gears - difficult to pass the lever through the quadrant.

18.6.24. | "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" & G.W.H. Local. | 2 | 7,810 | Servo gears very noisy. Noise there with no pressure on brake pedal. Brakes fair. Car steers to O.S. when brakes applied. Rattle in exhaust down valve. Starter motor stay wants fixing. Ball bearing noise in clutch. Servo gears rattle on acceleration. Slightly on retard with engine, also engine full throttle, no vibrations retard free.

26.6.24. | Fitters. | | | New servo gears fitted in gearbox. 2:1 ratio spur gears & modified worm gears, to give combined ratio 7:1. New reverse pinion in two pieces with floating bush to L.E.C.1862. Calorised swan neck tail pipe fitted. Coarse thread nut fitted to engine coupling shaft.
