Dear Mr. Hancock,

At the request of Mr. Robotham we are sending you under separate cover 6 Model X317. plugs. These are an experimental type similar to the HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}15. but having stepped mica and the new type two-point spark-gap, the object being to give you a plug to withstand slightly more heat than the HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}15. while at the same time it should also withstand slightly more carbon due to the steps in the mica.

We should be very much obliged if you would have these plugs tested in comparison with the HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}15's, and advise us if they show any advantage.

Yours faithfully,

LODGE PLUGS LIMITED.

DIRECTOR.
