Dist. box fuse No.8. Two terminals and two fuse pressure connections.
Wire from dist. box to battery.

Connection of positive wire to battery terminal.

Cell to cell connections of battery.
Internal resistances of battery cells.

Negative wire earthing battery to frame. Two pressure connections.

From the above it will be seen that there are quite a number of points (pressure-connections) in the dynamo-battery circuit at which a failure is possible. We do not say a failure is probable, because in the majority of cases it is far from probable, nevertheless we think it desirable to indicate all the possible points where there might in some circumstances be as faulty connection. On the conductors themselves and through the armature coils and cutout series winding, possibility of a broken connection is to all intents and purposes nil, so in such cases it is only thexinternal resistances of these parts which have to be considered, and those in the design.

All the pressure connections indicated, with the exceptions of course of brush to commutator and contact point contacts, must be duly tight.
