21.G.IV.

We wish to fit a loose liner Wraith engine to the above chassis, and propose to allot Wraith III No.1 unit for this job. This unit is temporarily fitted to 29.G.VI chassis at the moment.

When removed from 29.G.VI the unit should be examined and cylinder bores measured and on rebuilding T-slot pistons to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}92 should be fitted. These pistons will be tin-coated and supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews} It is our intention to retain the existing gearbox in 21.G.IV and it will be therefore necessary to instruct for the following items.

(1) Adaptor plate J.16177 to enable 20/25 gearbox to be fitted to Wraith type clutch case.
(2) New 1st. motion shaft, suitable for Borg & Beck clutch, and mating gear.
(3) Clutch operating mechanism and clutch shaft.
(4) Gearbox front cover.
(5) Controls.
(6) Water and petrol pipes require modifying.
(7) Front engine suspension will require modification.

21.G.IV is at present being used by EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} mainly for transport purposes, will you please, therefore, go as far as possible with the required pieces before taking the chassis from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} reports that this car is suffering from very bad brake squeaks, will you please attend to this item when the car is in the shop.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MThs.{Reg Matthews}
