44257 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY2/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 21. 10. 24. 20 HP. CHASSIS. BRAKE DRUMS. We have made two or three suggestions in the above connection - 1. That you should try a drum at varying thicknesses in order to find out where the drum becomes ineffective as it wears away. 2. A further suggestion has been made to weld up a ring of material, turn out the drum to a thickness of .100, and force in the new ring of material a tight fit and rivet it, and then turn the drum to size. We are anxious that you should carry this out and try out on a car, in order to ascertain whether it is a reasonable proposal for repair work. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
