86138 Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA.28.7.33. BENSPORT INSTRUMENTS. Answering your Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/D.27.7.33., the two Watford instruments are still in process of being tested. We are undecided with regard to the policy of proceeding any further with these instruments in view of the financial position of Messrs.North's. We have succeeded in obtaining two lightened and much cheaper Smith instruments which we propose to mount on a chassis for comparative tests with the A.T. The result of this competition has been that the A.T.Co., have produced a speedometer considerably lighter than all their other models and we hope, with a substantial reduction in price, and we are still awaiting a sample instrument for test.
