re. RR. HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPERS X235/X5520
ON 20HP. CHASSIS.

Herewith we send N. scheme 2173. shewing how we suggest the 40/50 shock dampers should be fitted to the rear of the 20HP. chassis.

It will be seen we are rather closer to the spring and closer to the brake cable than is the case at present, but in any case we have to do a shock damper for the 20HP. scaled down, and the only object in sending this drawing is to enable the benefits or otherwise of hydraulic shock dampers to be tested on the 20HP. chassis in readiness for the actual 20HP. model which we shall be sending you in the course of a short while.

The only important piece we have altered is the rear spring plate which has the ball end attached to it. If you do not care to make a forging for this it may be possible to use the existing piece at the cost of some neatness on the part of the ball end.
