X7535P. EFCL/AD. 20th February, 1930. Messrs. The National Accumulator Co.Ltd. 93, Grt. Portland St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} London, W.1. Dear Sirs, With further reference to the suggestion that Messrs. The Chloride Co. should adopt the same form of cell lid{A. J. Lidsey} as yourselves for our 6-volt unit batteries for Phantom II chassis, we have advised them of the agreement to this suggestion contained in your letter ref. M/B. of the 12th inst. and now hear from them to the effect that they are willing to go into this matter but at present have no particulars of your cell lid{A. J. Lidsey} or terminal gland. May we therefore further suggest that you either send Messrs. The Chloride Co. a print containing these particulars direct, as this would save correspondence, or if you prefer it to send these particulars to ourselves. If you send direct perhaps you would refer to this letter a copy of which we are sending to the Chloride Co. for their information. In regard to the other matter arising out of our proposed modification to the handle slots to enable a straight intermediate connecting link to be utilised, we duly forwarded the Chloride Co. your blue print giving detail of the inserts for the lead securing studs and have received acknowledgement from them and intimation that they would be pleased to go into the matter. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
