X.4333 - GOSHAWK DYNAMO BRUSH SPRING PRESSURE.

Will you kindly note that the brush spring pressures aimed at on the main brushes should now be 1 lb. with ± 3 ozs. limit each way, and those for the control brush about three quarters of this, viz. 12 ozs. with ± 2 ozs. each way, experiments having indicated that there is an advantage in this slightly increased pressure.

It is understood that the spring at present being received are such as would meet these limits with a minimum of rejections.

The above supersedes the instruction contained in our specification of inspection dated 25.7.23.
