Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ.23.5.31. X5960. 16-G4. We have returned this car to W.W. today. The work we have done on it since it came to Derby this last time is that we have changed the crankshaft - previously this had a standard crank with a small pin. It is now fitted with a large pin crankshaft with balance weights on Nos. 1, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 12 webs. We found the speedometer on this car reading high and it has been altered; now it reads about 1 mile/hour high at 60 m.p.h. We have also fitted to this car a new exhaust manifold and a larger diameter pipe between the manifold and silencer. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
