Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}ll/KW., from which we note that it is proposed to transfer the jacks at present fitted to your dummy Chassis to a Demonstration Car. Needless to say, we shall be only too delighted to send along a Representative for the purpose of effecting this exchange. When the writer telephoned you this morning he was under the impression that production of the new type bracket was due for Monday but he has since learned that this information relates only to delivery of the patterns. In the circumstances we regret that it is necessary to claim your kind indulgence for a further ten to fourteen days approximately. This new bracket is a big improvement on the one fitted to your dummy chassis and, doubtless, in the circumstances you will prefer to wait until it is available. Just in case you are urgently requiring jacks on the Trials car we shall have a second set, identical with that fitted to your dummy Chassis, available on Monday or Tuesday. Perhaps you will kindly let us know your wishes. Whilst on this subject, will you kindly also let us know whether you wish us to utilize your own tank or fluid reservoir as in the case of the dummy Chassis. Yours faithfully, For S.
