Dropping the radiator 4 inches in the frame and milling the bottom plate to prevent stones jamming the thermostatically operated shutters.

STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.

Description of Parts. RADIATOR DROPPED 4" IN FRAME INCORPORATING THERMOSTATICALLY OPERATED SHUTTERS.
Origin. Bottom plate milled away to prevent stones jamming shutters.

Experimental Test Report.
Fitted to 18-G-IV for tests in France. The scheme is an improvement and should help to prevent shutters jamming by small stones. Gives wider gap between apron and shutters.
