Rebound Buffers. (Similar to G.2042)
Wraith type Firestone of 45 durometer. Should be added to L.O.P. with suitable fixings. One failed after 18 hours due to a damper failure and lack of suitable metal rebound stops. The latter should be added to the dampers and the L.O.P. Temporary rebound stops were fitted originally these buffers lasted about 3 - 5 hours.

Bump Buffers.
Should appear on the L.O.P. as 45 durometer. No bump buffers failed.

Yokes.
These were the stiffened type with needle roller steering pivots. They will be examined by the shop.

Torque Arms.
One stud failed in the O.S. torque arm. We do not think they should be made larger. We are investigating the reason for the failure, it is probably due to assembly stresses.
Forged steel torque arms should be added to the L.O.P.

Frame.
This has run about 200 hours and is now breaking up.

Dampers.

Gudgeon Pins.
The previous trouble of pins moving sideways in the pistons, and scrapping the bores and inter. levers, has been entirely overcome by increasing the interference fit to .003". We recommend that the L.O.P. should be altered accordingly. The pin holes in the piston and rocking lever should be the same size.

Replenishing valves.
The valve EXS.434 does not collapse. It has to be drilled with a .025 dia. leak hole to allow for geometry errors.
