X1588 Experimental Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}4/KT. November 25th 1933. Messrs C.C. Wakefield & Co. Ltd., Wakefield House, 30 & 32, Cheapside, London. EC.2. Dear Sirs, Re. Oil Viscosity. In connection with cold engine starting we should be glad if you can let us have a viscosity curve for your Castrol XL, and XXL, engine oils. We are interested in temperatures as low as -5°C, if you can give us any information at this low temperature we should be grateful; it would be helpful if you could show us how your oil compares for viscosity with such oils as Motorine 'C', Mobiloil 'D', Aeroshell, and Essolube 40 & 50. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
