Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X 4117 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.25.8.30. Re. Chassis GDP-63 Geoffrey Smith. Most of the criticisms dealt with by Mr. Geoffrey Smith either have been or are being dealt with. Our latest 25HP. car - 18-G4 - has the radiator lower in the frame, which gives us, as Mr. Smith anticipates, better appearance and more radiator surface. This radiator will be standardised shortly. As regards the criticism referring to the lubrication of the axles. It is proposed as soon as possible to connect up the axles to the central pump in the same way that we have standardised this for the Phantom. The lowering of the steering column controls has already been carried out. The clip holding the exhaust pipe has already been modified. We would suggest that it might be wise to point out to Mr. Geoffrey Smith that we appreciate his criticisms and that it is proposed at a future date to make the necessary modifications to overcome them. We think it would be good thing to invite Mr. Geoffrey Smith to the works and at the same time we might get London to agree that we could show him the latest 25 HP. car, 18-G4, which will have most of the improvements fitted to it.
