RE "GOSHAWK II" - REVISED SPARE WHEEL CARRIER, PETROL TANK, PETROL FILLER, AND FILLER CAP.

We send you herewith drawing Nos. Lec.1417, 1416, and 1419 shewing the above. We would like to draw your attention to the following points:-

(1) The spare wheel carrier has been completely designed. Drawing Lec.1359 should be cancelled.

(2) Petrol Tank has been altered in shape, capacity, and position. Drawing Lec.1376 should be cancelled.

(3) The members for suspending the petrol tank have been altered.

(4) The general design of the petrol tank hand hole cover and its fittings remains the same, but the dimensions require alteration at Derby to suit the altered size of the tank. Particulars of the hand hole cover should be as specified and our drawing Lec.1376 modified to suit.

(5) The position of the rear pressed cross member remains at 9" behind the centre of the rear axle.

(6) The petrol filler tower has been altered in position and design.

(7) The petrol filler cap has also been completely re-designed, the new style being of the clip-on bayonet type, and made mostly in sheet metal.

These drawings give you the complete information for the rear end of the chassis covering the spare wheel carrier, petrol tank and fittings.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
