We presume that the double ended spanner referred to, is used for adjusting tappets on 20/25 HP cars.

We went thoroughly into this question at the time of the revision of the kit, and it was considered that the little extra inconvenience caused by using double ended spanners for tappet adjustment was more than compensated for by the cost saving. If single ended spanners are used for this one job then other single sided spanners must be used, because three spanner sizes are involved.

After all it is very seldom that a customer has to adjust his tappets. Again double ended spanners were used on 20 HP. cars for a long time prior to the adoption of the single ended type.
