Querying the engine bore dimensions for the Phantom III, Bentley 3.5 litre, and 20/25 models.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} GRY.{Shadwell Grylls} Would you please confirm the following : In the specification of the Phantom III supplied last year to the S.M.M.T. the bore of the P.III was quoted as 82.5. The bore of the Bentley 3 1/2 litre was similarly quoted as 82.5. The bore of the 20/25 was however quoted as 82. Is it not a fact, please, that the bores of all these engines are identical ? If so, will you please say whether it is 82 or 82.5, or any other dimension. There is I take it no difference between the bore of the 20/25 and that of the 3 1/2 litre Bentley. Cx.{Major Len W.
