X2894 To EX/RD. from EFC. EFC1/T14.5.27. X8692 ✓ Mr. Royce has again desired that we should try an experiment with tungsten points in which provision is made for small scrubbing action, as he considered is provided for in the Delco-Remy make and break. You will remember that we sent under cover of our EFC7/T28.1.27 a sketch, with a request to instruct a set of parts to that sketch, it being considered that the arrangement outlined would provide, amongst other things, the necessary scrubbing action. I should be pleased if you would now consider this with a view to giving us something on these lines. In the meanwhile Mr. Royce is hopeful that the umbrella type rotor may assist matters considerably, and I believe it is his intention to re-consider the spring control of the lever more on the lines which we have from time to time suggested.
