With further reference to BY/CGH{W Clough}6/G10530., we send herewith N. sch. 3099. shewing a stop for the hand brake quadrant. We have thought it well, as the stop comes in quite simply, to replace the previous "off" stop and provide both stops on this sheet metal piece. A slight machining back of the gearbox casting is required.

We also send N. scheme 3100, shewing the nut retaining the gear lever in the tower with sunk serrations instead of holes. We suggest that the sunk type of serration is better than the ordinary type in this particular case.

We believe that the holes in the nut were intended as a vent for the gearbox, and we think a vent is necessary in any case. On N. sch. 3100.. we have therefore indicated an arrangement similar to that on the American Phantom 1. to provide a vent.
