To prevent clicking in the s.s. tube when turning on left lock. X No. 5450 Drawing No. Part List Experimental Test Report. This clicking is only experienced when the ball ends are well lubricated due to the vacuum created when the ball leaves the rear pad. Road Test Report. The modification has been tried on the road and overcomes the trouble. Will have completed 5000 miles before first chassis comes on test. Fitted to 10-G-111. Does not effect strength of present part. A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
