You will have received a copy of Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/JH.31.3.41. outlining the final proposals for mounting the gun on a truck in such a manner as to simplify the installation and, at the same time, to overcome the present disability of insufficient stability when the gun is fired in a transverse direction. In addition to the modifications to the truck, it is hoped that the rubber buffer stop will make the gun less sensitive to mounting rigidity. We are receiving repeated enquiries from the Canadian Army as to when they can have this outfit to test and we should therefore be glad if the final assembly could be expedited.
