C.I. CONVENTIONAL 6 - CYLINDER HEAD ETC.

Please receive herewith :-

E.CD.1167 Cylinder Head, Gasket - Crankcase Top Face.
C.I. Conventional 6.

The cylinder head generally, except for the centre exhaust ports, is very similar to the Wraith 111 cylinder head, the spacing of the studs and valves follow the C.I. Conventional 8.

Most of the valve gear details are as used either on the Wraith 111 or C.I. Conventional engines.

We have altered the cylinder head wall on the exhaust side, to improve conditions local to the push rod tubes, although, if an existing Wraith 111 pattern is modified to make this cylinder head, the wall may be left as indicated by the dotted lines until such time as a new pattern is made.

The following information will also enable the crankcase detail for the C.I. Conventional 6 to be put in hand:-

(a). The general cross section is the same as for the C.I. Conventional 8.

(b). The distributor drive is the same as for the C.I. Conventional 8.

(c). The petrol pump and drive is the same as the B.60.

(d). The front and rear end facings are the same as the B.60.

(e). The remaining information for the crankcase will also be the same as on the B.60 except for the tappet covers and accommodation for a crankshaft with 2.750" diameter journals with Vandervelt bearings, designs of which will shortly be made.

Will you therefore put in hand details for the cylinder head and crankcase for this engine and instruct experimentally.

A design is also in hand showing the water pump and
