"BAR-LOCK" TYPEWRITERS.

We are faced with an intolerable situation with regard to the typewriters available for our work.

We have had 2 of the new Bar-looks and almost every 1 etter and Memo. which is typed at a reasonable speed has had to be done two or three times owing to the defects of these machines.

Apart from the waste of time the cost of wasted stationery is appalling and can no longer be tolerated, especially owing to the restrictions in consumption imposed by the Management.

We have interviewed the Bar-lock representative, who admits that the design is faulty and that it is being rectified. He has promised to replace these machines at repeated intervals during the past three months but we do not seem to be any neare r to getting what we want now than we were at Christmas.

Will you please let us know whether we can be certain of getting a reasonably satisfactory Bar-lock wi thin the next week, or alternatively, will you please supply us with a Remington to enable us to carry on until Barlocks' have put their equipment right.
