Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/M12.11.36 12th November 1936 Dear Duckham, With further reference to my letter of yesterday, I now have a note from the Works saying that, if you will submit to them a barrel of winter and summer grade oil, which you would recommend as suitable for our engines, they will run a bench test with a view to passing for standardisation. They mention they are now adapting our engines so that they will use very thin oil in the winter, a model grade in this respect being mobil-arctic. Please see that the barrels are clearly marked: For the attention of the Experimental Department. Yours sincerely, (A.F.Sidgreaves) Alexander Duckham Esq., Duckham House, 16, Cannon Street, E.C.4. | ||
