Date: 23 April 1932. All letters must be addressed to the Company, not to individuals For the attention of Mr. Hives. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 22nd inst. and note that you require us to improve the slow running of the C3. plugs on magneto. We will give this matter our attention and communicate with you again very shortly. In the meantime we have developed a modification of the S1. plug, namely the X288., and we think this plug may interest you as it will withstand more heat than the S1. or the C3., and has excellent slow running qualities. We are sending you 6 of these Model X288. plugs under separate cover and should be glad if you would have them tested and give us your comments. In regard to the 14 m/m plugs, we will endeavour to modify the A15. to give improved slow running. In case this plug may prove too expensive for your consideration we have developed another type of 14 m/m plug, which would be somewhat cheaper than the Model A15., and which would withstand more heat than the Model H14. We hope to be able to forward you samples of both this new plug and the modified A15. in the course of a few days. We are returning to you under separate cover the three Model H14's, which Mr. Alec Lodge brought back with him. These plugs are in perfectly good condition, but we understand will not withstand the heat of your engine under test bed conditions. If you have not already done so, may (Continued) Left Margin Text: DIRECTORS: J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} ALFRED HOPPS, BERNARD HOPPS, ALEC. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} LODGE, F.{Mr Friese} BRODIE LODGE.
