R.R. 493A (40 H) (BL 42 12-7-23). J.H.,D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. REF:Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/LG15.2.24. See X9940 for sketch As the w inequality of wear on the non-wrapping shoe was very much worse than this, we substituted a standard shoe on that side for road tests. The efficiency of the wrap-ping jointed shoe used alone is very high; when a non-wrapping shoe is introduced however, much of the increased efficiency is lost. We are completing comparative tests between std., floating fulcrum and jointed brakes, both on the road and on the test rig. We cannot see, at the moment, / many possibilities for a jointed non-wrapping shoe. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rp. | ||
