Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | Edwards 1322. DONINGTON PARK MOTOR RACE COURSE TELEPHONE 63 CASTLE DONINGTON All inquiries and communications to : The CLERK of COURSE COPPICE HOUSE CASTLE DONINGTON NR. DERBY April 8th 1940 Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, Nightingall Road, Derby. Dear Sirs, Reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}5/GH.4/4.40 I have submitted to the commanding officer that you would like to use the Track. At the moment I have not received his reply because instead of interviewing him personally I have written him as it ocurrs to me that the present commanding officer and his unit will probably soon be leaving and we should then very likely have to obtain permission again. Furthermore by writing to him it gets passed on to/the divisional or brigade headquarters and so long as we obtain their permission it will not matter who is commanding officer. This may cause a little delay but I think you will agree it is preferable to obtaining the local officer's consent. Yours faithfully, Donington Park Motor Race Track. | ||
