X4300 BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KT. 28.10.32. We have rigged up an interior heater on one of our 40/50 HP. cars. The three sketches Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}743/4/5 show how this is being done. Sales are now asking for supplies of material so that they can equip their own and customers cars as required. The parts we have to supply are one modified water pump end cover, 2 taps E.737.A, complete with nuts and nipples, and two unions as shown on Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}743. In the case of the 40/50 it will be observed that we have found a water pump end cover which with a slight modification will be suitable for the job. We have not, however, anything for the 25 HP. Will you therefore please detail a 25 HP. pump and instruct two complete sets of material, one for the 40/50 HP. and one for the 25 HP. for Sales. We attach a note from Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} with the necessary order no. We have robbed our 40/50 HP. car in order to let them have a set of 40/50 parts quickly, and will therefore utilise the 40/50 parts you are instructing. We understand from BY/Cgh.{W Clough} that you are going to make a proper scheme for the job showing the exact location of the pipe to and from the heater, to which the coachbuilders will be able to work, which will prevent any mistakes.
