Issues with the Bentley and 25 HP servo and a proposal for a modified design.

We are having a considerable amount of trouble in the Bentley servo due to the coefficient of friction of the lining materials falling when the servo becomes hot. We therefore wish to try the modified servo shown on the attached Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1589 which we think will run cooler on the car. Will you please detail the modification to suit a "Direct to rear only" servo incorporating Spring Ring Torsional Connection to GL.{G. Linnett}713 and Ball Bearing Bridge to N.Sch.3927, and construct one servo and fit to Bentley chassis B-23-AE. This chassis is already fitted with a Ball Bearing Bridge, so that the only new parts required are the two pressure plates, the servo drum, and the spring ring mechanism.
