DYNAMO ARMATURE FUSE. With reference to HA/SES/HL.19.1.38 we notice that a doubt has arisen regarding the gauge of fuse wire which should be fitted to the Dynamo Armature Circuit. We see no reason why the gauge should be increased owing to the fact that the maximum permissible output is 18½ amperes from the dynamo and the present fuse is rated at 30 amperes. As an example that the present type of 30 ampere open fuse is satisfactory we have in use on our Dynamo test rig a 20/25 HP. type of fuse which has been in continual use for six years without any trouble, and where the Dynamo output is tested up to 20 amperes. We therefore feel that nothing would be gained by increasing the gauge of fuse wire. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Smedley. [Signature] | ||
