Referring to your letter of the 20th inst., and further to ours of yesterday regarding two instruments. Will you please let us know if you want the thermometer with the 8'6" capillary cut down to 6'6". We are asking for this information because this is the only point which would bring it into line with your drawing D.75953, and the last paragraph of your letter asks for this particular instrument to be altered to that drawing.
