W.A. Robotham, Esq.,
Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

From a technical point of view I think I can say that the issue of "THE MOTOR" for June contained some outstandingly interesting data.

I would particularly draw your attention to the description of the new hydraulically-operated Girling brakes on June 13; the Technical Review on two-leading-shoe brakes on June 27; an article on gas as an alternative fuel and a description of a four-wheel-drive cross country car, both of which appeared on June 13. This number also had a description of the Lagonda cars which have done so well at the Le Mans race and some pictures of streamlined cars taking part in this event.

Road tests during the month included:-

June 6 Morris Twelve
June 13 The 32 h.p. Daimler
June 20 Wolseley Ten Coupe, The 2 1/2-litre SS{S. Smith}
June 27 New Austin Ten, Hudson Straight-Eight.

Oddly enough, new cars have been almost entirely absent, the only exception being the new coupe body on the Wolseley Ten chassis, although in addition there have been some photographs of the new E.R.A. racing car, which appeared in our issue of June 20.
