As an instance I covered just over 100 miles in one hour from a standing start with 750 c.c. baby car not capable of lapping at over 106 m.p.h. I averaged 97 m.p.h. for 24 hours with 2½ tons Diesel engine car not capable of a lap speed of more than 110 m.p.h., and we lost over 30 minutes with trouble apart from pit stops every 3 hours.
